Tire & Box Lifting Device

We recently shipped out the following Ergonomic Handling Solution for handling tires and boxes weighting up to 100 lbs. We supplied our VacuHand V vacuum tube lifting system on our portable MOBI-Arm. This configuration allowed the customer to pick up their tires and boxes one at a time and move them quick and easily to another location within their facility.

Tire Dimensions = Inner Diameter: 20″; Outer Diameter: 26″

Box Dimensions = Depth: 10″ – 30″; Width: 30″; Height: 10″

The minimum pick up height for both products is 30″ and the maximum drop-off height is 60″.

In this example, when the operator is in need of product, they take the operating hand of the tooling and manually direct it to the storage rack of product (tires and boxes) located in the staging queue. Once in place, the operator lowers the end effector onto the product and by using the controls, lifts the product to the desired height for offloading. After offloading, the operator moves the tooling portion of the crane back to its waiting position to await the next transport.
