Customers gravitate towards our Squeeze-O-Turn lifters when they are picking up product from the outer dimension (outside of a drum, outer core of a roll, etc). What exactly is a Double Squeeze Mast Squeeze-O-Turn though?
When handling rolls our Squeeze-O-Turn equipment enables the customer to pick up the product in both core vertical or horizontal orientations, rotate to the opposite orientation (core horizontal or vertical orientations), insert a shaft into the empty core, place the roll onto a machine spindle, and so much more.
When handling drums this equipment enables the customer to pick up the product in a vertical orientation, rotate to the horizontal orientation, and pour the contents into a hopper before setting the drum back down.
Typically our production team utilizes one squeeze mast when constructing Squeeze-O-Turn tooling. In this case, production incorporated two separate squeeze masts due to the size of the product being picked up. The double squeeze masts allow for the customer’s product to be safely gripped while keeping the product in between the lifter legs. Production also added a set of front rotation V-blocks enabling the customer to pick up product, rotate right and left, as well as, forwards and backwards.
The Double Squeeze Mast Squeeze-O-Turn lifter shown below was designed to handle rolls 14″ to 40″ diameter x 24″ to 29″ wide, a maximum weight of 280lbs, with a center line drop off height of 85″.
