The lifter shown below was a bit of a challenge at first. This lifter is being used to perform maintenance tasks on two machines in the customers’ facility. This particular customer needed the lifter to go under their short machine and be able to remove a print roller from inside the machine. That being said, the main concern was due to the low headroom height of the customer’s machine. The lifter below reflects a special platform with an extremely small mast and short legs.
The lifter services two machines. The lifter must enter both machines sideways in order to fit underneath. The lifter is designed to serve as a maintenance lift eliminating the need for the maintenance personnel to be under the machine while lifting the 325 lbs roller.
In the end, the lifter was able to roll under the customer’s machine while the platform was able to extend and then retract (all while in a low vertical position on the mast). The lifter has 7 counterweights due to the legs being very short with the load located extremely outside of the lifter legs. This lifter encompasses our traditional lifter technology all while in a very small footprint.
The platform is 40″ long with a distance of 30.6” from the face of the mounting tube to the center of the platform. Roller sizes are as follows: 8” diameter, 43″ wide, and 325 lbs.
