Core Probe
Fixed Core Probe
Roll loading to spindles can be handled without the need for fixed or auxiliary equipment. The core probe is used to handle rolls from horizontal pickup to horizontal drop off. The fixed core probe can pick up rolls from either pallets or floors. After pickup, rolls can be raised or lowered to the proper height for drop off. Align the top of the core with the spindle, set the lifter brake, and slide the roll onto the spindle.
The fixed core probe can handle rolls weighing up to approximately 200 pounds with the LIFT-O-FLEX® 20000 series.
Wheeled Core Probe
The wheeled core probe is used for higher capacity roll handling. Skate wheels are mounted to the top of the probe lengthwise, and a latch pin is used to hold the roll into position after loading. The skate wheels assist the operator in off-loading or loading the core probe.
The wheeled core probe can handle rolls weighing up to 200 pounds with the LIFT-O-FLEX® 20000 series and up to 300 pounds with the LIFT-O-FLEX® 19000 series (higher load capacities are available).
