Vacuum Print Sleeve Gripper

What is a Vacuum Print Sleeve Gripper? The lifter shown below contains our Lift-O-Turn™ tooling, along with our Vacuum end-effector. This particular customer needed to pick up and transport rolls that were 11” in diameter x 36-84” wide with a maximum weight of 300-lbs. The Vacuum end-effector was recommended to pick up the rolls which were tightly packed on a pallet in the core horizontal position. The rolls needed to be lifted and rotated 90 degrees for placement onto one of (4) positions on the customer’s machines. The rolls needed to then be placed at a 7 degree angle. This angle would differ whether the rolls were placed on the front or back of the machines. We felt it was best to supply a manual angle adjustment for the +/- 7 degree angle requirement. We also provided guides to allow for the vacuum cups to hit the center of the rolls. The vacuum print sleeve gripper cups were adjustable to handle both long and short rolls at the customer’s facility.
