Do you have a sheet of glass you are struggling to lift? If so, the below solution is one option we have for you. In this example we supplied one of our Lift-O-Flex portable lifters with a custom (6) cup vacuum tooling. It reflects a long 60″ boom (center of load) to hold a glass roof. This configuration allows the customer to pick up their glass panels one at a time and move them quick and easily to another location within their facility.
The maximum weight for the glass panels below is 110lbs.
In this example, when the operator is in need of product, they take the operating hand of the tooling and manually direct it to the storage rack of product (glass panels) located in the staging queue. The operator would position the lifter to straddle the suction cups and talon arms over the product and push the lifter forward with the tooling lowered. Once the suction cups and limit switch are touching the glass panel, the operator would engage suction cups, and then the talon arms under the panel (for further security).
With the suction cups and talon arms securing the glass panel, the operator would wheel the lifter to the desired end location in the facility. Here the operator would drive the panel up and push the lifter forward over the ending position. Once elevated and in position the operator would depress the suction cup and talon buttons to deposit the glass panel.
Once complete, the operator would pull the lifter back and wheel it to the staging queue for the next load.
