July 20, 2020What exactly is an Ergonomic Roll Handling Lifter with Customized Built-In Scale? Let’s back up for a moment. At first glance this lifter appears just like a traditional Core Probe unit. The mounting plate contains a detent pin so the customer can switch between two different tooling end effector options effortlessly. The first end effector is a core probe. The core probe allows for a roll to be picked up in the core horizontal orientation, taken to a different location, and deposited back down in the same core horizontal orientation. The second end effector is a v-block platform. This allows for rolls to be placed on the lifer core horizontally at a 90 degree angle from the core probe.
The unique aspect to this Ergonomic Roll Handling Lifter is the Customized Built-In Scale. The weighted scale can be found on the mast above the handlebars. This scale was requested by the customer so they would accurately know how much their product weighed before placing it onto the lifter.
The lifter below was designed to handle rolls 11-21″ in diameter x 20-35″ wide, with a maximum weight of 262 lbs, and a maximum lift height not exceeding 60″.
